This privacy policy ("Privacy Policy") applies to all visitors and clients of 9Line.dev (the "Website") and services offered by SkooledIn, Inc. d/b/a 9Line Dev ("9Line", "we" or "us"). It describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you visit our website, request a consultation, or engage our services.

This policy provides information about our practices. Reading it, using the Website, or submitting a form does not by itself give consent to optional tracking where consent is required.

We act as the data controller for all data processing operations described in this Privacy Policy.

This policy explains how we handle your information when you use our website or work with us. This notice is not a request for consent.

What information we collect

Information from website visitors

Like most websites, we automatically collect technical information when you visit our Website, including your device's internet protocol (IP) address, browser type, pages visited, and referring URL.

We use cookies and analytics tools to collect this information, which helps us understand how visitors use our Website and improve the user experience. We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and PostHog as described below, including session replay and AI-assisted analysis.

We collect basic technical information like:

  • How you found our website

Information from client websites

When we build or manage websites for our clients, we may implement analytics tools and tracking on those websites to measure performance and user behavior. This data helps us optimize your website and marketing campaigns.

For client websites, the data collected belongs to our clients. We process this data only to provide our services and do not use it for any other purpose.

On websites we build for clients, we install analytics tools to track performance. This data belongs to the client, and we only use it to improve their website.

Personal information you provide

When you contact us through our website, request a consultation, or engage our services, we collect the personal information you choose to provide, which may include:

  • Name and contact information (email, phone number, business address)
  • Business information (company name, industry, website)
  • Information about your project or service needs

When you contact us or become a client, we collect the information you share with us, like your name, email, phone number, and business details.

Information we don't collect

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information such as health data, financial account numbers, genetic data, or other special category information unless specifically required for a project and disclosed to you in advance.

We do not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 18.

How we share your information

  • Google Analytics and Google Cloud BigQuery for measurement and event-data analysis
  • PostHog US Cloud for analytics, session replay, errors, and AI-assisted replay analysis
  • Payment processors (e.g., Stripe)
  • Project management tools

These service providers are contractually required to protect your information and use it only to provide services to us.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, property, or safety.

We work with other companies to provide our services (like hosting, email, and payment processing). They're required to keep your information safe.

Analytics and replay information is also processed by the providers described below.

Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and browser storage for site preferences, sign-in, analytics identifiers, and acquisition attribution. GA4 cookies (such as _ga) and PostHog identifiers help relate visits and interactions. Browser storage also preserves the first page, referring site, campaign parameters, and advertising click identifiers that brought you to our site.

Analytics and session replay are enabled by default unless you have saved a choice to disable them. Open Privacy settings, untick any tool you want off, and save. You can reopen Privacy settings from the site footer and change your choice. The notice disappears after OK or Save. Turning off a running tool stops its collection right away. It does not erase information already collected.

For questions, objections, or withdrawal of consent where processing relies on consent, contact privacy@9line.dev. Our Google tag configuration allows analytics storage while analytics is enabled and denies advertising storage, advertising user data, and advertising personalization. Advertising remains disabled when analytics is enabled.

You can enable or disable analytics and replay, and change your choice through Privacy settings in the site footer. Forms work either way. Withdrawal stops future collection; contact us separately about information already collected.

Analytics, session replay, and AI analysis

Privacy settings

Privacy settings lists each tool this site uses, one row per tool. For a new visitor, every tool is on by default; OK saves those defaults. Untick the ones you want to turn off, then save. Open settings from the notice bar before choosing, or from the site footer at any time. In desktop mode, use the Privacy page's Open Privacy settings button. After OK or Save, the floating notice disappears. A tool you turn off stops collecting right away.

  • Essential (always on): remembering your privacy choice; security and anti-abuse (a spam trap field, rate limits, and a duplicate-request check); form delivery and a delivery-failure alert; and your saved settings (OS display options, game scores, and leaderboard sign-in). If a form fails to send, your browser tells our server only the type of failure, the form, and the page, without cookies or identifiers. We forward that alert to PostHog without your IP address and without linking it to a person, even when every analytics tool is off.
  • Google Analytics: on unless you untick it, as described below.
  • PostHog product analytics: on unless you untick it, as described below.
  • PostHog session replay: on unless you untick it. It needs PostHog product analytics, so turning that off also turns replay off.

We remember your per-tool choices in browser localStorage and a matching preference cookie named gcs_privacy_v1. A matching gcs_consent_analytics_v2 value keeps older pages in step; the preference cookies last up to one year. Existing site-wide denials are honored. A saved PostHog-only opt-out disables PostHog product analytics and its session replay, while Google Analytics stays on unless your site choice disables it. If saved preferences cannot be read, optional collection stays off until you make an explicit choice.

We don't use advertising pixels or ad cookies, so there is no marketing setting.

New visitors start with every tool on; saved site and provider choices are honored. Essential features always run, including an anonymous alert when a form fails to send. There are no ad pixels.

Google Analytics and Google Signals

GA4 measures pages, navigation, approximate location, device and browser information, campaign attribution, link clicks, form interactions, and other usage events. Google Signals may associate this visitation data with information Google holds about eligible users signed in to Google who have enabled Ads Personalization, to enrich demographic, interest, and behavioral reports. This association is subject to Google's settings and applicable consent requirements; enabling Signals does not change our advertising consent defaults described above.

Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can manage Google's advertising preferences in My Ad Center, manage account activity in My Activity, and use the Google Analytics browser opt-out add-on. These Google controls do not control PostHog.

Google Cloud BigQuery

We export GA4 event data daily to our Google Cloud BigQuery environment in the United States to analyze acquisition, site usage, and conversions. This includes event details, campaign information, and pseudonymous browser or account identifiers where collected. Google Signals' additional signed-in information is not included in this raw-event export. Exported data is a separate copy from the reports in Google Analytics.

Google helps us understand traffic and usage. For eligible Google users, Signals can enrich reports using Google's signed-in information. We also analyze exported event data in a US Google Cloud data warehouse.

PostHog analytics and session replay

PostHog collects navigation, clicks, scrolling, text copied from non-input page content, heatmaps, performance measurements, browser errors, and session recordings so we can understand site use and diagnose problems. Recordings reconstruct the site as you interact with it, including visible text, images, and network timing information. Form input values are masked in replay; canvas content, console logs, and network request headers and bodies are not recorded. Masking input fields does not hide all content elsewhere on a page. Please do not enter sensitive information in public or free-text areas.

For signed-in game or portal users, we associate activity with an opaque account ID in PostHog; the site also supplies this ID to GA4. Form submissions can create a PostHog profile containing first-touch attribution and form interaction details. Replay masking does not prevent us from receiving the information you intentionally submit in a form to respond to your request.

Replay Vision

We use PostHog Replay Vision to analyze selected recordings for unfinished contact or audit forms, repeated pricing browsing without a selection, and visible errors or broken windows. PostHog sends rendered recordings and related events to Google's Gemini AI model and stores its observations as analytics events. These observations are automated interpretations and can be inaccurate; they help us investigate and improve the site. PostHog processes our analytics in its US Cloud service.

We can replay site interactions, including visible page content, while form inputs are masked. AI reviews some recordings to flag usability problems. Copied page text and technical errors can also be captured. Submitting a form sends its contents to us separately.

Data retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services, maintain business records, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes.

Client project data is typically retained for the duration of our business relationship and for a reasonable period afterward to provide support and maintain records.

If you request deletion of your information, we will honor that request unless we have a legal obligation to retain it.

We keep your information as long as we need it to provide services and meet legal requirements.

You can request deletion of your information at any time.
